Dartmouth General Hospital
The Dartmouth General Hospital is the backbone of the second largest community in Nova Scotia. It is a 24-hour emergency, inpatient medical, surgical and critical care facility that has been operating since 1976. It provides services to approximately 120,000 people in Dartmouth and the surrounding areas. The surgery program includes General Surgery, Urology, Gynecology, ENT, Orthopedics, Plastics, Oral Maxillofacial, Ophthalmology, Vascular and Dentistry.
Mental Health Clinic – Dartmouth
Located in downtown Dartmouth this clinic provides services to youth and families in the community with Mental Health issues. The IWK health care team performs the clinic service.
Mental Health Clinic – Cole Harbour
The second mental health clinic in the Dartmouth area is based at Cole Harbour. Cole Harbour is a suburban residential area. Program provides assessment, diagnosis, and treatment as well as client, family and community education. Services are provided by a multi-discipline team of psychiatrists, psychologists, nurses, social workers occupational therapists and others.
